Biography of the Asuri Leadership

This page is dedicated to provide you with a breif synopsis of the Tradition leadership. In short, you will find biographies of the First Arch High Priest and the Acting Arch High Priestess. Keep returning to this page as it is updated with prominent members of the Tradition as well.

1. Lord Caladai, Arch High Priest, First Priest of the Tradition, Dean of Education

Lord Caladai is the founder of the Tel’Ennyn Asur Tradition of Wicca. Lord Caladai is an Arch High Priest and currently holds the office of First Priest within the Asuri Tradition. Lord Caladai would like it understood first and foremost that titles and positions within the Asuri Tradition are not made to place anyone above anyone else. Rather the Tradition as a whole does require strong leadership and management. For religious organizations to truly evolve and continue to provide quality services and educational outreach programs for members of the Outer Court and Inner Court there needs to be a strong foundation. Such Hierarchy is not created in service to Lord Caladai – rather in service to the wider Asuri Community.

Lord Caladai has been a practicing pagan and wiccan for well over 15 years. He is initiated into a number of wiccan traditions some of which are sworn to secrecy and to protect that sanctity they will not be listed here. However he can advise that influences over the years include: Correllian Nativist Tradition of Wicca, Gardnerian, Faerie, BTW, Seax/Saxon Wicca, Ceremonial and High Magick. He specializes in Auric Healing, Transformative Energy work and Divination. He is a Tarot and Intuitive Psychic reader/healer. As a certified Usui and Seichim Reiki Master/Teacher Lord Caladai offers a range of healing classes and treatments for his clients and students.  Lord Caladai is also affiliated with a number of pagan organizations such as Children of Artemis (UK), PAN Inc., and Pagan Alliance (ACT). Lord Caladai also held the office of Ealdorman of the Lybláec Tradition of Wicca for the Australasian region.

On a professional note; Lord Caladai has been a Workplace Educator and Facilitator over an extensive period of time, with qualifications in Adult Education, Workplace Training & Assessment. His qualifications and experience includes: Human Resource Management & Planning, Competency Frameworks, Change Management and Learning & Development. From this Lord Caladai has a real passion for life-long learning and as such is the Dean of Education within the Asuri Tradition. His mission is to ensure that the learning received through the Asuri is not only theoretically sufficient but provides experiential learning opportunities to enhance the transfer of learning from theory to practice.

"The goddess called to me, and I responded with yes. From that day forward life has been a beautiful journey, a personal experience and an adventure to remember”.

2. Lady Nightstar, (acting) Arch High Priestess, First Priestess of the Tradition, Dean of Mentors

It all begun in a small smelly church, at the top of a hill, in the middle of nowhere.... 4 children sat in the front pew... dirt smeared across their faces... clothes old and worn..... All bare foot.... one wearing only a nappy... and a dog with a bucket on its head waiting patiently on the floor......

My parents were never into Religion.... Yet at the age of 6 it never stopped me from finding a way to worship service.... even if I had to take the kids along too..... By the age of 7 I had found a new church..... It was on the other side of town so I had to walk a long way.... But that meant no other kids could go..... And much needed space..... It didn’t smell as much... It didn’t have as harsh rules..... And they had orange cordial instead of lemon... Thank God for the Anglicans.....Here I got my first taste of ritual with Sunday school and becoming a cross bearer for Saturday morning church... By the age of 8 I had moved up to Altar Girl and helping with bread and wine. I never really did get the whole church thing... the songs.... the sleep maker talks....... yet there was always comfort and reward in what had become a wonderful and connecting ritual each week.

As I turned 9.... Things changed.... My ritual was no longer a comfort..... Yet neither was the rest of my life.... and then..... One night in the midst of cries unheard.... “She” fell from the moon with Ivy in her hair.......... And the “Lady” took my hand and led me on a magical silvery path....... My experience changed me...... nothing felt right anymore.... there was no comfort... not even cold comfort.... And so I began to wonder.....Around the age of 13 distracted and lost..... I was given a task... to pick any book in the Library and present a project on the subject...... The universe works in mysterious ways...Teh Goddess was calling me...As I opened “The Encyclopaedia of Witches and Witchcraft”....... I realised I had come home...... And so sparked a fire of obsession and collection of all things related to the craft.....?

Being a solitary for many years I sought information in other sectors.... Tarot, Palmistry, Numerology, Mediumship, Meditation, Past Life Regression, Dream Analysis, NLP, SQ, Crystal Healing, Himalayan Salt, Reiki 1 & 2, Spirit Guide Drawing, Paranormal Research, Feng Shui......... the list goes on.....Until a realisation I could go no further..... And so off I trudged once more to a worship service.... of a different kind...... to The Temple of La Veda and a Wiccan coven. From the moment I walked in and asked for “Tapu”......My life changed..... Once again....... And then the next fascination takes place......After all that’s happened and broken down...... I’ve managed to find myself here.... Looking back on an established and well regarded reputation in- healing, meditation and divination, written and teaching classes in crystals, tarot, psychic development, meditation palmistry and children’s classes, Paranormal Research teams and consultancy, 1st Degree Priestess in the Correllian Nativist Tradition, 2nd Degree Priestess in Path of the Black Dragon and now High Priestess in Tel’Ennyn Asur.

Life truly is a magical experience.                                                                                                                              )0(

3. Gnwmythr, Spirit Initiate, M'Ajnoir of the Tradition, Master of Records

When I was a child, I would pick up “happy rocks”, keep them for a while, and then return them to their family if they became unhappy. Even at this relatively tender age I was aware that “everything is really energy”, as I solemnly told my father one night, and was very strongly inclined towards ritual and exploring spirituality. I would write my own rituals and daily practices to follow, but I had limited examples to base these on – and I wasn’t too happy about the mainstream faith I was raised in, partly because they said animals didn’t have souls, and partly because of some double standards I saw in some of its adherents. So, as I grew, I started to search more widely.

Initially I found Buddhism – well before it became fashionable, and I found the self-discipline useful, and the emphasis on compassion resonated with me, but, again, I found its (Western) adherents were sometimes … less than genuine in their commitment to personal change and growth. Fortunately I had been exploring other paths at the same time, and thus I had also experienced Qabbalistic workings, Spiritualism, New Age, shamanism, and possibly a few others I’ve since forgotten. I started doing spirit rescues and energetic healing in the 80s, and since then I have run a few healing and development groups, various workshops on past life regressions, crystals and other topics, and, since the mid90s, have been studying runes intensively under the guidance of a Rune Master who is both greatly skilled and a great friend.

In the early 90s I started performing full moon rituals with some friends – using quite an eclectic mix of Qabbalah, shamanism and the very little I then knew of Wicca. In 2003, I attended a National Queer Spirituality Conference (I’m a lesbian), and while there experienced a very powerful call from the Goddess which led to me helping to organise the 2005 Victorian Queer Spirituality Conference, and generally exploring Wicca and paganism – and hey! I could write rituals again!

My explorations led me to accumulate considerable experience writing, leading and contributing to rituals (including public rituals), and also included attaining initiation in another tradition, and a period as Guide, then Co-Guide, of an online group based around using crystals to create a planet-wide web of energy, called, oddly enough, the Crystal Web. My role at the Crystal Web also included more work on rituals, with some being planet-wide rituals to jointly celebrate events such as Yule in one hemisphere and Litha in the other.

More recently, I have started work on a series of rituals based on the seasons described by the indigenous people of the area I live in. That same path has now led me to the Tel’Ennyn Asur, a tradition which I greatly admire as a breath of fresh air, and in which I am honoured to have been given the role of M’Jnoir. My role as M’Jnoir will allow me to use the experience I have gained with ritual, as well as requiring me to draw on my experience generally, particularly my experience in creating and adapting rituals and responding to the needs of those performing or attending the ritual. My duties in this position include providing advice on a number of matters, as well as fostering communication and undertaking coordination.
