Tel'Ennyn Asur Tradition of Wicca

About Us

Tel'Enynn Asur is loosely translated to mean 'The Doorway to the Sacred/Eternal Flame'. This is reflective of the story of creation from the Vangello delle Streghe where the divine mother shot from herself sparks or flames which were the souls of the world falling through the different planes of existence into matter. Thus each of us is a spark from Deity.

It is our belief that all paths lead to Deity. There are no right or wrong paths. None more important or closer the to the truth than the next. Spirituality is a personal experience and should not be dictated to you by anyone.

Our tradition of Wicca is an eclectic tradition which follows an initiatory framework with a strong focus on experiential learning. There are Five degrees or levels within our tradition - First, Second, Third, Fourth and Fifth Degree.

First Degree (Berkana): North: Earth: Green: Learning about Wicca

Second Degree (Ansuz): East: Air: Yellow: Inspired by Wicca

Third Degree (Kenaz): South: Fire: Red: Participating in Wicca

Fourth Degree (Laguz): West: Water: Blue: Managing Outcomes of Wicca

Fifth Degree (Spirit): Centre: Ancestors: White: Living Wicca

If we were to compare our degrees to the traditional three degree system in Wicca it would look like this:

Unlike other initiatory traditions of wicca, advancement and initiation into the degrees of wicca does not automatically bestow upon the postulant any clerical or ministerial authority. While considered a Priest/ess in their own right, our tradition offers specialised training and guidance for those wishing to enter ministry practice. Our learning programs have been designed this way in a way to acknowledge that not everyone seeks initiation into ministry practices - and that is ok.

For those wishing to be ordained as clergy due to the call of Deity we have two further degrees:

Sixth Degree (Ministry): High Priest/ess: Silver: Teach & Initiate

Seventh Degree (Hierophant): Arch High Priest/ess: Gold: Lead & Represent Ministry

These two clerical degrees also include many of the advanced energy work that would normally be found in the third degree High Priesthood of the Traditional Wicca Degree Systems.
